Sian started dancing classes at the age of 5 (tap, ballet, modern & jazz). Aged 11, she auditioned for the prestigious Arts Educational Schools and was privileged to be offered a place. Here, Sian continued to develop her dance and drama skills and also learned she had a ‘perfect pitch’ voice. During her final year Sian was honoured to be Head Girl. She later gained a Diploma in Performing Arts.
As well as competing in dance festivals and appearing in fringe theatre productions, Sian worked on the Young Indiana Jones series for Paramount and also did some work for the BBC, with well known actors such as Timothy Spall.
Although Sian enjoyed these experiences, she developed a strong passion for teaching and working with children. Her earlier teaching experience has included being a Deputy Leader at a children’s summer playscheme and a Teaching Assistant at a primary school. She is now a Learning Mentor at a secondary school and a Youth Worker. Sian also taught drama for a leading worldwide drama academy for 3 years. However, with her extensive experience of teaching and working with children, Sian felt there was scope to develop the methods and syllabus further from an educational and skills building perspective, whilst still retaining the fun.
Sian says “I am passionate about working with children. I really enjoy stretching their imagination and developing their abilities whilst creating a fun environment!”
Sian has been police (CRB) checked - essential when working with children.
